Austin Blake Burchett

Austin is our only child and will forever remain the highlight of our lives. I think every parent likes to brag on thier child but Austin was truely a blessing. Always polite, well behaved and good spirited. He had many interests but mostly he enjoyed whatever it was he was doing at the time. He was a cub scout, very patriotic and an environmentalist. Baseball was his first love but he also enjoyed football, four square and shooting his bow. His dad brags about what a great shot he was for his age. He loved cartoons, action figures, roller coasters, playing video games, music (especially bluegrass), doing impressions and playing practical jokes, especially on his doctors and nurses. He was a die-hard Yu-Gi-Oh fan and he also loved to eat and was just showing in interest in cooking. I believe the times he enjoyed the most were when he was with his cousins and his best friends no matter what they were doing.
On April 1st 2006 at the age of 9 just 14 days before his 10th birthday Austin was diagnosed with T-Cell ALL – Leukemia. Fourteen months later that cancer took him from us. Two and a half years later we are still devestated and trying to manage without him the best we can.
It helps to know that in his short 11 years on this earth that he lived life to the fullest at every moment and brought so much love and happiness to those who loved him.
You are my pride and joy Austin Blake!
Forever loved, Remembered always
